A cogent and well-supported article. Unfortunately, the simplicity of the standard narrative is what gives it its appeal, even though it is intellectually incoherent. It's simply not possible to reason with the vast majority of people, which is why mass psychoses spread so easily through a society from time to time.

Indeed. That people cannot understand that risk varies by age and comorbidities especially boggles my brain. That and thinking wearing a damp cloth mask outdoors does anything...
